Lucy’s Angels for Breast Cancer Care, Inc is a non-profit organization, formed to raise money to provide funds for programs that will assist women and men, without other financial means, who reside in Hendry or Glades County, to have access to free mammograms and other diagnostic procedures for breast cancer.

LAfBCC is a non-profit, Florida corporation with a federal 501(c)3 tax status.  Our board members are local residents who volunteer their time.  We feel strongly that money raised in the community should remain here for the benefit of those who live here.

LAfBCC recognizes that because the population of rural counties is small, residents are often the last on the list to receive help, despite the fact that the general income level is lower.  Our program is unique because we emphasize assistance for the 18 to 40 age group.  We believe that outreach, education, and access to free screening will help to decrease the number of deaths due to breast cancer.
